Ballardong Ballardong Moorditj Community Group

Aims: The Ballardong Mooditj Program is a pilot initiative funded by Healthway, Regional Arts WA and other supporting agencies. The program is designed to provide a culturally safe and inclusive space for York’s Noongar community. The program supports separate men’s and women’s groups, weekly gatherings, and creative healing activities, while also offering a dedicated stream for children and youth through after-school, weekend, and school holiday programs.
It is grounded in Ballardong Noongar values and aims to foster intergenerational learning, cultural pride, and holistic wellbeing through art, story, movement, and connection to Country.

The York Maams is a weekly Aboriginal men’s wellbeing group facilitated through the Ballardong Moorditj Program.
