Take a short 10 minute drive south of York (just past the Orchid Conservation Reserve) and you will discover Gwambygine Park (or Gwanby as it known to the locals)
Pack a picnic and take advantage of the facilities including BBQ's, toilets and potable drinking water. You'll find wildflowers around the park and plenty of local fauna.
York Travelers Rest Caravan Park

White Gum Farm
For more inclusive seclusion, head 20 minutes east of York to White Gum Farm.
This dog friendly hidden gem, complete with a licensed bar and grill, a large water catchment where you can fish and swim, 4WD track and light aircraft runway, will capture your interest on so many levels (hint - look up in the trees).
Wandoo National Park
There are a couple of locations where camping is permitted within the National Park. The easiest to find is along Helena Road where there is a well signed camping spot. Recommend 4WD. Is suited to campers (tenting), camper trailers and smaller vans.
